Recently checked out Sanjeev kapoor's Khasana... The food is good. I liked the Kebabs. The setting is okay and the service is very good.
But its on the very expensive side. The menu is priced like a five star hotel, so value for money wise its average.
But those who want to taste authentic - not watered down - Indian food should pay a visit. When they said the Kebab is spicy, it was spicy. And they were well marinated and very succulent. The paneer dish was okay okay as they had but the paneer in big chunky pieces, it was tasting a little raw in the inside.
Mutton biriyani was excellent; even though they had mentioned it as boneless in the menu it came with bones, but no complaints. The aroma of the spices and the mutton coming from that earthenware pot was just too good to resist.
Reaction from friends: MIXED (the guy who took a take out was not happy, but then he is never happy; others gave a thumbs-up for the food)
Pocket quotient: 200 plus for two
Taste Bud: Very good
