New openings: Cuban restaurant in Qatar

Now we have an authentic Cuban restaurant in town serving authentic Cuban delicacies like Ropa Vieja made of tenderly shredded meat cooked slow with Cuban spices. Ropa Vieja meaning “old clothes” is named for the way this braised and shredded beef dish looks once finished, like the fibers of old clothes.

This is NOT a review or paid promotion, just an announcement of a newbie in town. From various social media postings, it looks like a hit and foodies are saying it’s worth a visit for the authentic Cuban dishes. Looks like they are priced in the medium range like their Chicken rice is priced QR36 and signature Ropa Vieja and croquettes are priced QR46. (all prices are sourced from their Instagram account)

According to an Instagram post by noted food writer in Qatar Rachel Morris the dishes to try are ropa vieja, the yucca and the flan….

They are located above Thai Smile on Umm Ghuwailina St and are open from 12:30PM - 10:00PM

Have you checked out them already… comment your reviews…

We will be introducing restaurants from different communities here, stay tuned.
