Mandarin Oriental, Doha is hosting acclaimed Pastry Chef, Dimitris Chronopoulos, an ambassador and chocolatier for the leading chocolate brand chosen by top chefs, Valrohna to create unique chocolate-based inspired desserts for a high-end afternoon tea experience hosted exclusively at the hotel’s Mandarin Lounge and Baraha Lounge from November 18 to 30.

Chef Dimitris is a consultant for Valrhona and is set to create his signature desserts featuring Valrohna chocolate. Presenting a selection of fine pâtisserie which are exquisitely presented and utterly original, including choux with fluffy pecan cream and dates, a chocolate Bahibe mousse with compôte framboise, toffee chocolate caramel with chocolate caramelia cream, banoffee with a crunchy biscuit base and a chocolate Guanaja cream with chocolate Jivara mousse in a crunchy praline waffle.
A selection of savouries by Mandarin Oriental, Doha’s Signature Afternoon Tea will complement the chocolate desserts, including golden fried wonton with sautéed shiitake mushroom, chicken sandwich with sriracha and mango, angus beef and cheese slider, egg and curry sandwich and a cassava croquette with Peruvian Huancaina sauce. Served with warm scones with Medjool Date, a Honeycomb Pistachio Financier with a Signature Gold Leaf Cappuccino and signature tea blends.
