Food and music

Marrying food and wine is a much debated and discussed topic and its an art. Now marrying food and music is not something many people talk about. Just play anything as long as food tastes good... But playing the right music at the right time need some skill. Recently there was an article about the kind of music you shld play while exercising... Now here is a blog that marries food with music.
The kitchen radio by two sisters from Canada is an amazing work. They have married food and the music to go with it. In their words the blog is "All of our kitchen exploits complete with thrilling pictures and organized by corresponding music."
Their blog is also very nice to looks at. I liked the the colours and the green they used. And also the logo. Good work. Keep it up.

There are some nice recipes you could try and yes with the corresponding music.
Enjoooyyyy this yummmy blog....
PS: All their recipes are gluten free and celiac friendly!

Fast food gourmet…

Chanced upon an interesting website fancyfastfood. Here they make gourmet dishes out of fast food. Very simple KFC meal turns out to Colonel’s Chicken Corn Chowder and how… A Domino’s Pizza becomes Dao Mi Noh Chow Mein…
There are detailed descriptions with photographs showing the whole process of transformation.

In there own words “extreme makeovers of actual fast food items purchased at popular fast food restaurants. No additional ingredients have been added except for an occasional simple garnish.”

Now I know what I am going to do this weekend.

guess what is this (image courtesy: fancyfastfood)

Make your dish - the Mangolian way

Mangolian BBQ in Al Sadd is our favourite joint nowadays.. Its fun … every time you end up making a different dish…
There are two counters... one for salad and soup.
And another for meat and veggies. They will give you a tray with one big bowls and two small ones.
In the big bowl you take the meat or fish. The choices are chicken, marianted chicken, beef, fish, prawns and squids. Then you top it up with veggies - there is a wide array to pick from - onions, celery, spring onion, bambooshoot, mushroom, cabbage etc etc
Then move to the sauce section. You can pick two different sauces in your two small bowls. There are some 8 sauces to choose from. I go for sweet chilli and chilli sauce. The lemon sauce looks interesting will try next time.
Now comes the condiments section - powders. Salt, peper, curry powder, garlic, ginger powder....  Dont freak out here --- go slow add a little you can correct the taste later at table...

And rest the chef will take care… yeah yeah not much to do now... stilll

  Chefs at work
(they are working on seven different meals at the same time)

You can choose rice or noodles

I prefer noodles (mixed with meat)

Add QR10 extra and you can take one bowl of salad
(only one visit, so load it up as much as you can - veggies)
